Year 5 & 6 Trip to Cambridge Library and Lunch!

Year 5 and 6 were fantastic on our trip to Cambridge last Thursday.  We began by visiting the Central Library, located in the Grand Arcade; the children behaved with maturity and enthusiasm as our library guides showed us relevant areas in the children’s and teenager’s sections to research Japan for our extended project.

A blissful hour was spent with them discussing topics ranging from Sushi to Karate; at the end of the session the children took out a book each on a topic of interest, whilst staff also took out a range of texts to further our research.

The library was followed by a delicious and very grown-up meal in John Lewis’ Brasserie.  A huge thank you to Year 5 and 6 for their attitude and energy, and also to Mrs Rayner and Mrs Godsell for their invaluable contribution.

Mr Willcocks and I were thrilled that members of the public in both venues commented on the children’s outstanding manners and behaviour – they were a credit to both their parents and the school.
